The city of Carrollton has been in the spotlight recently through various media outlets, highlighting several draws to the town located about 45 minutes west of Atlanta. Most recently, Curbed Atlanta author Josh Green listed Carrollton as one of the top “10 Small Towns Near Atlanta You Need to Visit Soon.” Once again focusing on the completion of the 18-mile long Green Belt, he also mentions the downtown scene. Carrollton’s square offers plenty of local food, fun, and events throughout the year at the amphitheater, known as “The Amp.”
